In this age of science & technology where
everything is mechanized and computerized, the focus being on the
end rather than the means, the educational systems are also following
suit. They have now become "sophisticated industries" branding the
children. The character building of the child is not given due prominence.
Crushed under heavy curricula, heavier homework and the inevitable
tuition classes, children have little time to explore. Education becomes
a burden both to the child and the parents. A valuable learning experience
is lost, a whole facet of development, missed.
While occupational accomplishments are important, the proper understanding
of moral values, ethics, social responsibilities and intellectual
development are equally important for healthy growth. The concept
of Bamboonotes is based on the idea of subconscious interactive learning,
so that children may imbibe ideas and thoughts and at the same time
enjoy the experience. The use of contemporary tools like animation
and multimedia are used for maximum retention of the subject matter.
Through this series of CD-ROM’s we attempt to let Bamboonotes,
a flute, do what he does best - tell stories and relate happenings.
The stories are drawn from Bamboonotes' experiences through his perpetual
wanderings - watching, learning, and recording. To children, our Bamboonotes
will be a guide and a companion.
In our Fun Section "Building Blocks" children are encouraged to develop
the basic skills of mathematics, science, grammar, logic through a
series of enjoyable and interactive games.
We hope your child will have enormous fun with Bamboonotes. We look
forward to your feedback, suggestions and criticism, as these will
